How often shoud I go to the eye doctors if I have no vision problems?

1 Answer

Answer :

If you are under 45 years of age, you do not need to go to an eye doctor is you have no vision problems. If you are over 45, you should have your eyes checked once every 2 years for as long as you have no vision problems. Eye doctors are able to detect diseases other than vision-related diseases by symptoms that first present themselves in the eye. If you have no vision problems and no family history of eye disease, once every five years is fine. If you have Diabetes or high blood pressure, see a doctor annually. This will catch glaucoma and retina degeneration early and prevent blindness that these conditions can cause.
