Peroxide will bubble even if no infection is present.Blood and most living cells contain the enzyme catalase. Catalase attacks hydrogen peroxide, making water and oxygen (O2), e.g. the fizz. Hydrogen Peroxide is one of the oldest antiseptics, through agitation of cells--- it kills both bacteria AND healthy cells. THAT is why you should use only a small amount, and not very often, unless directed by a physician.
