Cleaning such a pan is not at all as easy as it might seem at first glance. This process, in contrast to washing ordinary dishes, involves a number of subtleties, primarily due to the material from which the pan is made.
Cleaning a cast iron pan
Cast iron pans are rightfully recognized as one of the highest quality and most durable - of course, subject to proper care. Ideally, it is best to immediately remove any oil that remains on the surface after each cooking. Otherwise, it will accumulate, and it will be much more difficult to get rid of it. Further - worse: the fat will eat into the material and, acting like a magnet, will attract even more dust and dirt. To avoid this, the surface of the cast iron pan must be cleaned regularly. But, if the moment is missed and greasy spots still appear, you can use some tips to remove them.
Place a few drops of any grease-dissolving detergent on the bottom of a cold skillet. After that, it must be filled with hot water and thoroughly cleaned with a synthetic sponge.
The washed pan should be rinsed with cool water and dried well with a towel.
Then apply the Oven Cleaner to the surface of the cast iron pan, which is intended for cleaning ovens.
Put the prepared frying pan in a plastic bag and leave in it for 12 hours.
After this time, remove the pan, rinse the oven cleaner and wash it again with dishwashing detergent. Rinse and pat dry with a towel.
How to clean a Teflon pan
The advantage of this material is that it is quite easy to clean, even if the food in such a pan burns. Thanks to the special coating, the fat does not stick to the surface; you just need to pour warm water over the pan for a while and then rinse. But it is worth remembering that Teflon is afraid of the effects of metal brushes and detergents with abrasive particles.
Cleaning a stainless steel pan
The stainless steel pan can be cleaned, for example, with ordinary table salt. Pour about half a glass of salt into the bottom of the pan, flatten and leave for about two hours. Then the pan must be washed with warm water: fat and burnt food particles during this procedure should move away without problems.
Cleaning the ceramic coating of the pan
Care should be taken when handling such pans as with Teflon pans. Before using a product with a ceramic coating for the first time, it is recommended to thoroughly wash it, wipe it, fill it with a few tablespoons of table salt and ignite it over a fire.
It is necessary to wash ceramic pans in warm water, using a soft sponge and a non-aggressive detergent without abrasive particles. Sudden changes in temperature and too cold water should be avoided to prevent cracks in the coating.
