How long is the sweater knit?

I thought I'd start knitting. But I don't know if I could handle it. How long does it take to knit a sweater or a hat?

It depends on both the knitter's skills and the strength and thickness of the wool and needles. Some tighten the eyes, some have looser them. If you buy a strong enough wool for a start, it will increase faster. As for the skill, as a child I had a neighbor who was so confused that she didn't even look at it anymore and the needles vibrated in her hand. I was always fascinated by her skills. And she also knitted patterns.
