Is it necessary to unplug the computer daily?

I've been so learned since I was little. When I turn off the PC pull it out of the network. So that it wouldn't hurt overnight, etc ... But the plug started to fool me. It has been so worn over the years, something must have come loose and there could be a spark of electricity. That's why I'd keep my computer plugged in all the time. I would just turn it off, but not pull it out. How are you? Do you pull your computer off the network every time you shut it down? I've been so learned since I was little.
