How to Clean a Blackboard
Blackboards, also known as chalkboards, can get subjected to a lot of use in its lifetime. Blackboards are still widely used in classrooms all over the world, and as such, they need to get cleaned thoroughly to be useful in the following days. Here’s how to clean your blackboard.
Materials
Small clean cloth
Lemon oil
Half cup vinegar
One bucket of warm water
Cleaning spray
Special chalkboard cleaning cloth

Procedure
Each item is a fast and easy way to clean the blackboard, including some tips to keep it clean longer.

Clap the chalkboard erasers clean and use this to clean the board. Clap the erasers again and erase the writings again.
Drop three drops of lemon oil on a clean cloth. Sealed this a ziplock bag and left overnight. Use this cloth to clean the blackboard until the lemon oil is used out. Launder the cloth and repeat.
Mix half a cup of vinegar into a bucket of warm water. Use a window squeegee to use this solution to clean the blackboard. Wipe dry using the swipe side.
A special chalkboard cleaning cloth is available in most office supply stores (if not already supplied for by the school) which gets rid of the necessity of cleaning the chalkboard with water.
Use a clean soft rag with a cleaning spray product. Using products like these will not only make it easier to clean chalkboards, but it will also prevent streaks and dull spots on your chalkboard.
In a hurry, a water-dampened cloth will do just as well.
Tips
Using dustless chalk will make your job so much easier. You won’t have to deal with sneezing or coughing fits while cleaning the blackboard.
When cleaning the blackboard, make sure that you start from the upper left corner going across the length of the blackboard. Continue doing this until you end at the lower right corner of the blackboard.
