: By balanced diet we mean food that contains all the essential nutrients of the body. A balanced diet should include adequate amounts of energy-boosting , body-enhancing and detoxifying and disease-resistant foods. In other words, a balanced diet means a certain amount of food that meets the needs of the individual body. A balanced diet may vary depending on age , occupation , gender, and physical condition.
