What is Terminating Stimulation ?

1 Answer

Answer :

The stimulus that terminates the behavioral response is called the terminating stimulus. It can be external as well as internal . Bird's eye stimulation stops the bird from building a nest when it thinks the construction of a nest has been completed. This is the external terminating stimulus. On the other hand , continuing to eat until full , when the stomach is full, i.e. stopping eating after satiety, is an internal terminating stimulus.
