Curzon is a historic building located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh , which is recognized as an antiquity. The foundation stone of the hall was laid by **** George Nathaniel Curzon, Viceroy of India, in 1904, and the building is named after him. The building incorporates a spectacular blend of European and Mughal architecture ; It also partly follows Muslim architecture. Dark red bricks have been used on the exterior of the building. Its arches and domes are a combination of modern architecture and Mughal-style structures. Curzon Hall is one of the most important buildings in the Ramna area for the development of Dhaka as the provincial capital after the partition of Bengal . When the Partition of Bengal was canceled in 1911, classes at Dhaka College had to be taken. Later, when Dhaka University was established in 1921, Curzon Hall was included for the science department of Dhaka University , which is still used today.
