Professor Dr. M. Golam Shahi Alam (born 2 February 1952) is a Bangladeshi teacher. He is the current Vice Chancellor of Sylhet Agricultural University . Prior to this, he was Professor in the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics under the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bangladesh Agricultural University , Mymensingh . Shahi Alam has been a lecturer in the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics under the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Bangladesh Agricultural University , Mymensingh since 1986. He was then appointed as a professor in this department. He was the head of the department for 4 years and the dean for 2 years. He is a member of a syndicate of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University located at Bakrbi and Trishal in Mymensingh . He has been working as a managing member of Jessore University of Science and Technology since 2013 . Shahi Alam has been the Vice Chancellor of Sylhet Agricultural University since September 2014 . He served as a visiting Fellow at the National Institute of Animal Industry , Tsukuba , and at the University of Nagoya and Iwata, Japan , in 1996 , 2002, and 2011, respectively .
