Kamasutra (Sanskrit: कामसूत्र) is an authentic book on human sex written by the ancient Indian scholar Mallanag Vatsyayan. The subject matter of a section of the book is practical advice on sexuality. The book is originally written in prose ; However, many verses composed in incoherent verses have been inserted in it. The word cum means sensual pleasure or sexual pleasure ; The word sutra, on the other hand, literally means yarn or that which holds more than one object. The word Kamasutra therefore means the text of such a sermon in the form of a book. It contains sixty-four bananas applicable to women. The Kama Sutra is the oldest and most important work of the Kama Sastra literature. According to Hindu belief, Nandi, the gatekeeper of Shiva, is the original author of Kamashastra. He was fascinated by the holy words spoken by Shiva and his wife Parvati during Ramana. Later he wrote that message for the welfare of mankind. According to the historian John Kee , the Kama Sutra is a treatise which, in the second century AD, acquired its present form by compiling from various of his compositions.
