Acne is an inflammatory condition of the skin which occurs when its oil glands are closed. This is me Dr. Sulaiman (Nayan) did the research myself because I never get acne , all of a sudden I started using a well control facewash and after a while my acne got up and after doing a lot of research on it I became sure of it. Hormones: Acne is caused by an excess of hormones during the menstrual cycle and during adolescence. During adolescence , excess sebum is produced due to an increase in androgens. Excess sebum is also produced due to androgen increase during pregnancy. Also some hormones are related to acne: testosterone , dehydroepiandrosterone. Acne can have serious psychological consequences , especially for acne. Adult women may have polycystic ovary syndrome or Cushing's syndrome, ranging from normal causes like pregnancy to acne. Genetics Genetic factors such as TNF - alpha , IL-1 alpha, etc. are thought to be responsible for some people's acne , which is supported by twin studies. These do not follow Mendel's hereditary patron pattern. Acne can be exacerbated by excessive anxiety. The National Institutes of Health in the United States has listed anxiety as an anti-acne agent. Propionibacterium acnes is an anaerobic bacterial species that is largely responsible for acne , although Staphylococcus aureus is also blamed only after P. acnes colonization . Even so, certain varieties of P. acnes are associated with long-term acne problems . Antibiotic resistance to P. acnes is increasing day by day. Acne can also be caused by a parasite called Demodex .
