Cervical spondylosis is one of the leading causes of neck pain. Spondylosis is a degenerative condition and cervical spondylosis is a degenerative condition of the cervical spine. Our spine consists of bones , muscles , joints, etc. The vertebrae are formed by the intervertebral discs and other nodes forming one vertebra over the other. The bones of the spine begin to change with age. The disc between the vertebrae and the vertebrae becomes brittle as the water shrinks, shrinks in height, and often moves backwards, causing pain by pressing on the nerve, which is called disc prolapse . These fragments can also cause pain by putting pressure on the nerves. Cause: It is a disease of old age. Spondylosis begins to change after the age of 40. In some cases it may even start earlier. The ratio is almost the same in male or female patients. This disease is more common in patients of all professions who have to work with their neck bent forward. For example , sitting at a chair table, working on a computer , typewriter, etc. Also , the disease can occur if you do not sleep normally , without a pillow or if you have a habit of sleeping with two pillows together. Symptoms: Neck pain often spreads from shoulder to upper back , chest , back of head or arm to hand. Pain in the whole arm can be caused by pressure on the nerve coming down from the neck to the hand. The most serious aspect of cervical spondylosis is that when pressure is applied to the spinal cord , this pain can lead to weakness in the limbs , difficulty walking , and even stopping urination. During this time , pain is felt when pressure is applied to the upper back and arms of the neck and normal movement of the neck is disrupted. Pain in the hands , tingling in the arms , dizziness , numbness , feeling of needle piercing may be difficult to work with the hands. However , the concern is when the pain lasts for more than 6 weeks and the patient loses weight.
