I can start here: my friends and I climb and found a great campground on a guy's property in Kentucky while we were climbing there for a weekend. He let us stay up on a hill and there were maybe two other groups on his entire property. The closest group was several hundred yards and a fence or two away. As we were falling asleep I heard footsteps circling our tent and suddenly there was a loud bang. We all unzipped our tents and the best we could figure out was an acorn from one of the trees we were under fell on a car. I mentioned the footsteps the next morning and my partner had heard them too... fast forward a few months and we were staying there again, this time in a clearing a ways off a road on this property. There was nobody within eye or earshot of our tent. I heard footsteps circling the tent that night too, and my partner thought he heard me walking behind him at the fire while I was sitting in the car. I also felt like we were being watched the whole night on that trip. So, what are your creepy backwoods stories?
