The job situation is pretty bad worldwide, so tell them they are not alone. Just be there for them, and perhaps help them in their search. Do you know of any vacancies that they could apply for? Perhaps you could ask your neighbours, work colleagues etc. Just be there for them, and encourage them to continue searching. The right job will come along eventually.
