answer:Is there a Chilton’s manual for it? I think it safe to say that most of the people here have never seen a Holden since we have few Aussies. That means that you may have to rely on a tech manual (like a Hayne’s or Chilton’s) that has a full tear-down, pictures, etcetera. Some cars are difficult, and some are a snap. Replacing the distributor on an early-90s Civic is a 10 minute job, and most of that is wiping the grease off your hands afterwards, whereas even finding the distributor on an ‘89 Aerostar is an adventure. I don’t know where your Holden is on that spectrum though. I will say that it’s generally easier if the engine is at TDC (if you don’t know what that is, maybe you shouldn’t be doing this yourself!) and it’s important not to mess up the firing order or (if applicable) the vacuum hoses.
