I’m not exactly understanding your question. When you (general you) file your taxes, you have to put in the information for what you are eligible for. If you don’t put in the information, it won’t know what you are eligible for. How much of a refund you get depends on what your tax responsibilities were for the year, how much you paid towards taxes, and what you had for tax credits.
