answer:Strange as this might sound, but the opening lyrics of Kodachrome really speak to me: “When I look back on all the crap I learned in high school / It’s a wonder I can think at all.” For me, high school was not a time of learning, it was a time of survival, pure and simple. Everywhere I turned, I came smack up against the whole “us and them” mentality whether it was between students and teachers or just different cliques. I really do look back on my time in high school and am absolutely amazed that I am anything resembling a functioning human being.
