answer:It can, for a couple reasons. One is, the state of being in pain causes the whole body to tense up, and that tension can cause pain all over. For instance, many headaches are caused by tension in the neck and shoulders. Another is that pain in one area causes one to change posture or movement in another area to compensate. For instance, if you hurt your right ankle you might end uop with pain in the left knee or back.
