answer:I don’t think anything will change. The only reason why this got such publicity is because it was a famous and frequently photographed lion. If it hadn’t been a famous lion – but instead just some average animal – this wouldn’t have even been mentioned. This is the outrage-of-the-week – it is the middle of the dog days of summer, not much news going on, so the media blew this up in order to increase their ratings. But it will fade away from the public consciousness in days. As soon as there is something to attract the fickle public – like the color of Kim Kardashian’s nail polish, or the next politician to announce that he/she is having an affair. The whole Cecil episode will be forgotten – by everyone – within a month. Passing fad. No serious changes will happen.
