SI units stand for International System of units. It was introduced in 1960. There are seven basic quantity in SI unit. They are Length unit is metre (m), Mass unit is kilogram (kg), Time unit is second (s), Electric current unit is Ampere (A), Thermodynamic temperature unit is kelvin (K), Luminous intensity unit is candela (cd), Amount of substance unit is mole (mol).
