What is the harmonic filter?

It is being used to supress the input voltage distortion at input side of any electrical equipment. This distortion is created by other electrical loads like motor, drives etc nearby connected with same source. Harmonic filter to be designed for a range of harmonics or specific harmonics like 3rd harmonics  5th harmonics, 7th harmonics.
