I have a lifetime warranty on cooking pots. Does that mean before I die?

Not at all ... You have a 24 month warranty on the goods (by law). The manufacturer or retailer can then extend it at will. However, the term "lifetime warranty" has no legal certainty, so unless you have stated otherwise in the purchase contract or its annexes, you should reckon with the fact that you only have the warranty for those 24 months ... In other words - the supplier is not bound by such a vague statement and therefore it's (usually) just marketing bullshit ...: D
