How to Remove Warts with Duct Tape
Duct tape is perhaps the ultimate solution to numerous adhesive problems, but do you know that it also works great for removing nasty warts? Instead of buying ointments and trying wart removal surgery, maybe you can try using this when warts appear on your skin. Here’s how to remove warts with duct tape.
What You’ll Need:
Duct tape (purchase a new silver roll from a hardware store or grocery, if you don’t have any at home)
Soap
Warm water
Pumice stone or nail file
Towel
Salicylic acid
Duct Tape And Salicylic Acid
When paired with salicylic acid, duct tape can easily remove any wart problem you might have. Here’s a routine that you can do just before you go to bed at night.
duct tape
Wash thoroughly the areas where the warts are located, using anti-bacterial soap and warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
Get some salicylic acid and apply it to your warts, dabbing gently. Salicylic acid is available in many drugstores and can be bought over-the-counter. Allow the acid to dry for at least a minute.
Cut some duct tape from your roll, big enough to cover the warts and a bit of the skin surrounding them.
The next morning, carefully peel off the duct tape.
Repeat this procedure everyday. You’ll see the warts becoming smaller, every time you try it. Keep repeating it until the wart completely disappears.
Duct Tape Only
If you can’t get any salicylic acid, then you can just try this method, where all you’ll need is a roll of duct tape. Unlike the first method, though, you’ll need to have the tape on your skin round the clock. Here’s how to do it.
Wash the body part where the warts grow.
Get a piece of duct tape that covers the warts appropriately. Stick it properly to your skin.
Leave the duct tape on your skin for six to seven days.
On the 7th or 8th day, peel the duct tape off.
Get some warm water and soak area with warts on it for a few minutes.
Using a rough tool, like a pumice or nail file, scrape the skin.
The following day, put a new piece of tape over the warts.
Repeat this for as long as the warts are still visible. This might take as long as two months.
A Few Tips
Use new duct tape. Old tape that’s sat on a shelf for months can accumulate dust, which can only irritate and worsen the problem.
If your skin becomes red and soggy, allow the area to dry for a week, before continuing the process.
This methods must not be used for warts in sensitive areas, like genitals. Opt for other remedies.
If the warts don’t go away after two months of these procedures, consult your doctor.
Warts are nasty and unpleasant-looking, but as long as you have a roll of duct tape nearby, you’ll never have to worry about them. Try it for yourself and you’ll be pleased with the results.
