How to Stay Awake at Work
Find yourself nodding off while working? Don’t let sleepiness get in the way of your work. Here are some tips you can follow to stay awake at work.
Get enough rest and sleep at home. Getting sufficient rest at night will help you perform better at work and avoid falling asleep. Try to schedule your activities so you get enough sleep while still being able to do all the things you need to do. Avoid going out on weekdays and watching TV so late.
Eat a healthy breakfast. As we all know, breakfast helps us get ready for the day ahead. Never skip this important meal, otherwise, you’ll feel sluggish at work.
Coffee is a popular stimulant. Limit your coffee intake to just about 2 cups a day. Excessive amount of coffee will have an opposite effect on your body.
Strong fragrances like eucalyptus and rosemary can keep you up. If you can’t use oils in your office, pick a hand lotion or perfume with a strong scent and frequently dab some on your wrist or apply lotion on your hands.
