How to Raise One Eyebrow
Raising an eyebrow is a popular non-verbal expression that can convey a lot of things. In a nutshell, a raised eyebrow can denote disbelief, skepticism, amusement, and so much more. Want to have this sassy expression as part of your arsenal? Learn how to raise one eyebrow with this article.
Method One
Get a mirror and decide which eyebrow you want to train. Usually, going with the side where your dominant hand is (are you a lefty or a righty?) is better.
Start with a scowl. Knit your eyebrows together.
From the scowl, try to relax one of your eyebrows while keeping the other eyebrow in place. It’s not exactly eyebrow-raising, but it will help develop control over the muscles that flex your eyebrows.
Once you become more comfortable and used to holding one eyebrow in place, you can try to work up from half a scowl (literally) to a proper raised eyebrow look.
Method Two

This second method is opposite the first one. First, you find a mirror and again, decide which eyebrow you want to practice the raised eyebrow with.
Use your fingers to raise both eyebrows in what you feel is the proper height for eyebrow-raising. Once you’ve reached the desired height, release one eyebrow while continuing to hold on to the other eyebrow.
You can hold this pose for a few minutes everyday until you get the hang of it. You can also skip the part of raising both eyebrows with your fingers once you know what height you want your eyebrow to be.
When you feel you’re ready, release your finger and see if you can hold the eyebrow up on your own.
Method Three
Face a mirror. Decide which eyebrow you want to train in eyebrow-raising.
Pull a scowling face, try to make it exaggerated.
Now, pull a very exaggerated surprised face. Notice the and feel the movements of your forehead muscles when you do these two expressions.
Now, try to alternate between scowling and surprised. Slowly train yourself to isolate the movement on one side of your face.
Eventually, you will train your eyebrow to raise by itself without the help of widening your eye or pulling the rest of your facial muscles to the extreme.
