He made rules and prevented people from remembering Allah and praying. Therefore, any game which magnifies a trivial matter and arouses enmity and hatred among those who play it and at the same time forbids them from remembering Allah and praying is as haraam as drinking alcohol. Sulaiman ibn Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated it from his father Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said : He said , " Whoever plays the dice, may Allah disobey me and disobey me." (Abu Dawood: 4129 , Sahih according to Nasiruddin Albani) Suddenly one of them sat down. Then the other was surprised and said , what's the matter. Did it hurt ?
