In the Shari'ah, it is generally permissible to take pictures and capture videos (of any animal or inanimate object) (however , not to draw pictures). This is because , first of all , the still image or video taken by the camera is basically our reflection created by the reflection and refraction of light , which can be printed on paper or saved in the memory of electronic devices (computer , mobile , camera, etc.). And no one's reflection and painting is one ; Because there is a touch of creativity in the painted picture , which is not reflected. Therefore, the prohibitions against drawing pictures (which are mentioned in the hadith - for example , it must be revived on the Day of Judgment) do not apply to photography . There is no hadith or evidence that a Companion practiced beauty or combed his hair after seeing the reflection in the water and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) imposed any prohibition on it . For this reason , photography is generally permissible. Similarly , it is permissible to take pictures and videos. However , it would not be permissible to take pictures and videos if the pictures and videos contained obscenities , debauchery , indecency or all such activities which have a negative impact on the society ; Because , obscenity is completely forbidden in the Shari'ah. Note the following verses in this context: (Surat al-An'am: 151) "Say : My **** forbids indecency only." (Surat al- Ra'f : 33) "He forbids obscenity , indecency and disobedience .... " And the address of disorder is in hell. " (Ahmad and Tirmidhi)
