Music is forbidden in Islam. However, songs can be heard without playing and in that case the lyrics have to be good. There can be no element in the lyrics that calls for obscenity. If there is music in ghazal then it is also excluded. Listening to music is forbidden. Kabira is a sin to listen to music. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning) : Nabi Kareem (sm) has banned music (Abu Dawud , Mishkat H / 3652). Nabi Kareem (sm) heard the sound of music and put two fingers in his ears and left the road. Then he said to 'Abdullah ibn' Umar , ' What sound do you hear now ? I said no . Then he removed two fingers from his ears (Ahmad , Abu Dawud ; Mishkat H / 4711). However, it is permissible to listen to Islamic songs without musical instruments.
