Copernicus (19 February 1473 - 24 May 1543) was a famous astronomer. He was the first to give the doctrine of the modern solar-centric solar system. Where he refers to the sun, not the earth, as the center of the solar system. He formulated a model before the eighteenth century when the doctrines of Socrates and Aristotle were all around.
