answer:It certainly sounds like he likes you. The only things I can think are that he’s convincing himself a relationship would be a bad idea, or he’s afraid. Perhaps you could ask him why he just wants to be friends when he’s acting like it’s more? You can’t very well clear things up if you’re guessing what he’s thinking and feeling. I would suggest responding to his texts. You don’t have to tell him you’re ok when you’re not, but leaving him hanging isn’t helping if you ultimately want to work something out. You could tell him you’re hurt and confused and need time to think. That would be honest and give you the space you need without freaking him out.
