Sorry to say but it sounds like the referral Dr is getting a percentage of what the CT scan is charging. We’re in NC, just a similar case where diagnostic center was set up by the referral group and charged more than the going rate. Ask the diagnostic center to reduce it to the insurance “normally charged ” rate.
