When January 2, 2000 was approaching, people predicted communication would go down, the electrical grid would shut off, we’d be starving and it would be chaos. The clocks struck midnight and nothing happened. There’s always someone predicting something. For 12/12/12, which was apparently the latest date in the Aztec calendar or something, people thought that signalled the end of the world. That date came and went, too. Meh. Next!
