Coercion and bullying are the two main sources of third-party driven suicide – they can be related. Ultimately, though, the suicidee makes the decision based on his/her own feelings. I don’t know anything about the college in Missouri, but I have read that there are frequently ‘copycat’ suicides in a small environment. Unless there’s pretty good evidence of bullying, it’s hard to assign ‘blame’ – although you can’t stop people from making assumptions and drawing conclusions for themselves.
