Well, 'false'.......like so many songwriters after them, theytended to idealize the pure and unselfish love of women. Moreover,the 'courtly love' that minstrels sang about was by definition notabout sex, but about the finer feelings that love was supposed toawaken in knights, kings and noble ladies.And just as we like today to see movies about all-conqueringsuperheroes, the people of the middle ages liked their knightsfearless and victorious. And several of them actually were.
