Wooden mixers have a smell after cooking what to do with it?

Is it possible to remove it somehow? When I want to mix a salad and it smells good after cooking, I don't like it very much.

It is very important not to leave wooden utensils in the food ("stir-take out") and to wash them as soon as possible after cooking - with hot water, detergent only when they are greasy. But the most important thing - I fill the new wooden spoon (etc.) with edible oil (just the ordinary one you use for cooking) and if "operation" degreases, I repeat the filling. This makes the wood non-absorbent (I will not use anything other than what I normally use for cooking) and the smells and flavors do not have a chance to transfer the stirrer to the next dish. I also treat the boards in the same way - so there is no danger that blood soaked in slicing meat or fruit or vegetable juice will ferment in my board ...: o
