How to Build Fire
Fire is a combination of excessive heat and glowing light. Fire can be made with the contact of heat or any other energy; it can be formed from a match-stick, a lighter or a blower. Furthermore, the fire can be sustained by heat energy until all the fuel is consumed.
A chemical reaction within the fuel makes fire. Light that comes out with fire are photons, which are formed when fuel is oxidised. The colour shows how much heat is emitted through the fire. The colour depends on the energy level of the fire; the higher the energy level, the more the heat. The larger the number of photons, the more is the energy.
When the energy level of the fire is high, the colour of the flame becomes white. Fire needs oxygen and heat to burn. Fire cannot exist without these elements.
Making a Fire Place
When you are making a fire place, make sure that the fire never extinguishes. There are some ways in which fire keeps burning without any interruption. Perhaps you are making a backyard fireplace. If thus is the case, you will need to take care of several things.
Fire needs lots of oxygen to burn. Blowing with a blower can even make the fire even stronger. Fire can be made better and hotter by raising the fire above the floor, so that air can circulate under the logs. Metal grills can be used to do thus.
More Efficient Fire Places
Wooden fire places are not very efficient. You can easily heat your home without spending a lot of your hard earned money on a wooden fire place.
Wood stoves make efficient fire places without pinching your pocket, much. Chimneys with old dampers allow cold air into the house like an open window. A product called draft eliminator does not allow the cold air to enter into the house or the warmer air to go outside.
Another way to make the fire place efficient is to keep the fire place doors closed so that it utilizes the inside air to keep the house warm. Although, the fire still comes through the doors to make the rooms even hotter.
Fire Place Radiator
As we all know, traditional fire places make the heat escape very easily, so a wooden stove should be used instead of thus. Fire place radiators are even better if you still use wood as your fuel for fire. It is much more affordable as it costs an approximation of only $500.
Making a Fire
Making a fire may look as easy as anything, but it can be dangerous if one does not know how to light it. Make sure that the chimney is drawing upwards. If the draft is cold, then set ablaze your wood and roll a newspaper through the damper wood and light the fire. Once it gets warmed up, it will get sucked upwards.
To make the wood burn, first use a rolled newspaper on the ground then the small kindling. Allow enough oxygen to enter.
