How To Heal A Wound
You accidentally trip and bump your leg against a sharp stone. Now your leg is bleeding, and you’re at loss on what to do. Before you start swooning or before you pick up the phone to call 911, stop. You don’t need an expert to fuss over this minor problem. Wounds are among the most common physical injuries experienced by people, and with just a few steps, it’ll be healed.
Treating The Wound
Applying first aid to a wound is very important when healing it. Here’s how to do it properly.

What You’ll Need:
Bandages
Clean water
Clean cloth
Soap
Antibacterial cream or ointment
Sterile tweezers (optional)
Procedure:
Stop the bleeding by applying light pressure over the wound, using the clean cloth. Don’t put your hands directly on it, to avoid infection. Keep doing this, until the wound stops bleeding.
If it’s fairly large and deep, and direct pressure doesn’t work, put pressure onto a major pressure point instead, such as on the underarm or the leg crease. This slows down the blood flow. Medical help at this point might be needed.
If the wound is not that serious, and the bleeding successfully stops, clean it. Run clean and cold tap water over the wound, or pour it from your water bottle.
If there are stray elements (like dirt or mud) on the wound, remove them using sterile tweezers.
Use soap and clean water to gently clean the area surrounding the wound.
Dab on some antibacterial cream or ointment on the wound. This helps prevent infection, allowing your wound to heal faster.
Put a bandage over the wound, keeping it clean, and to hold its edges together. Change the bandage as often as needed, at least everyday, until it finally heals.
Healing Your Wound With Sugar
Most small wounds heal quickly by themselves, but if you want to quicken up your wound’s healing pace, there are some helpful tactics you can try. One effective way is using sugar for your wound. Sounds weird, but sugar is known to help skin recover and kill harmful bacteria. Here’s how.

What You’ll Need:
Sugar
Petroleum jelly
Scissors
Gauze
Bandage
Procedure:
Wash the affected area with water and soap. The area must be clean first before proceeding with this tactic.
Using your fingers, apply some petroleum jelly all around the wound. Begin and end at one point. Then, encase the wound with a line of petroleum jelly.
Sprinkle the sugar on your wound. Cover it as much as you can, pinch by pinch. Keep adding sugar until the wound is entirely covered.
Put some gauze bandage over the wound. Cut a small section to custom fit it. To make it stick to your skin, apply small dabs of jelly to the gauze to make it stick better.
Bandage the dressed wound. Change this everyday.
Every person has probably been wounded at least once or several times in his or her life. If it’s not very serious, then you can try these easy tactics above. It’ll sting and ache for a while, but if you manage to do this properly, your wound will heal quickly, and will be gone in no time.
