Drinking soft drinks or energy drinks can cause such problems. Weight gain is not just about looking bad or being physically uncomfortable. Weight gain will make you more prone to type 2 diabetes , high blood pressure , stroke , heart attack , cancer , gallbladder stones , and arthritis. Eventually untimely death. There is a direct link between obesity and soft drinks. A joint study by the Department of Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital and the Harvard School found that a child who ate one extra soft drink a day had an 80% chance of gaining weight. The amount of calories in a bottle or a can of soft drink is 180 which is equal to 10 teaspoons of sugar. To shed this amount of calories, you need to do heavy exercise for more than 4 and a half hours a week. Suppose the teeth are yellow , you want to show your friends a magic. You will permanently turn your white pearly teeth yellow in 1 hour. Nothing , take a sip of cola in the mouth and leave it for 1 hour. Of course , enamel corrosion will turn the teeth yellow. Phosphoric acid is used to enhance the pungent taste of soft drinks. This acid is so strong that if you dip a nail in it , you will not find the nail after 4 days. Moreover, the sugar used in soft drinks also produces acid under the influence of bacteria. Bone fragility Another function of phosphoric acid is to deplete bone calcium. A 1994 Harvard study of teenage girls found that girls who drank soft drinks were five times more likely to break bones than others. They may later develop a degenerative disease called osteoporosis. In this disease the bone density decreases and the structure becomes weak. As a result, the bones break easily. The disease is more common in older women and the fear is that broken bones do not heal easily. Another study of 2,500 adult women found that even those who regularly drank milk or other calcium-rich foods were not immune to the harmful effects of cola drinks. Caffeine in every bottle of soft drink is about 50 mg. Soft drink companies claim that they are using it to enhance their taste. This is because the bitter taste of caffeine enhances the other flavors. But Roland Griffith of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute found that while many people were consuming soft drinks and caffeine-free drinks on the market , 92% did not understand the difference between the two. This means that the taste of caffeine is not correct. So what happens with caffeine ? Caffeine is actually addictive. Once you get used to it, that's all you want. And like all addictive ingredients, caffeine temporarily boosts your mood, but in the long run it has many disadvantages. For example , one or two bottles of soft drink is enough to cause your insomnia , nervousness and rapid heartbeat. Excessive play can lead to irregular heartbeat, panic and anxiety , muscle spasms , incoherent speech , depression and high blood pressure. Studies have shown that pregnant women who drink soft drinks are at higher risk of miscarriage , premature delivery or low birth weight. Another effect of caffeine is that it increases the tendency to urinate and dehydrates the body. This means that by drinking soft drinks in the hot sun, you may be thinking - let's fill in the sweat that is falling from the body . In fact, the result is the opposite. Drink water instead. Indigestion Many of us like to have soft drinks after eating rich food in the idea that it will digest food faster. But it will be clear how much of a misconception it is. Our body normally digests food at a temperature of 36 degrees Celsius. But when soft drinks are served , the temperature is 3/4 degree Celsius. Therefore, when a cold soft drink is drunk after eating , it does not help digestion , on the contrary, it causes putrefaction. Moreover, being acidic, soft drinks upset the sensitive alkaline balance of the stomach. As a result, stomach pain , bloating , indigestion , gas , sour belching, etc. cause various problems. Sugar and soft drinks increase the risk of diabetes due to their role in sugar and weight. A four-year study by the American Diabetic Association found that women who drank more soft drinks had twice the risk of developing type 2 diabetes as normal women. Cancer Soft drinks reduce the amount of oxygen in the body and increase the risk of cancer. A chemical called polyethylene glycol, which is used in soft drinks to color caramel, is known to cause cancer. Interestingly , the soft drinks that are sold with the enticing advertisement called ' Diet Cola' use a chemical called aspartame instead of sugar. This ingredient has 92 types of harmful effects on the body. These include brain tumors , infertility , diabetes , epilepsy and mental imbalance. Kidney Problems Soft drinks use an ingredient called ethylene glycol so that they do not freeze like ice. It is almost as poisonous as arsenic. Its effect on the kidneys is very harmful. If you consume 4 liters of Coke in 1 hour then you are sure to die due to kidney failure. Scientists have found that those who do not eat soft drinks or eat moderate amounts, compared to those who eat a lot , the rate of kidney stones is almost three times! The saccharin used in soft drinks causes urinary bladder cancer. Shortness of breath The immediate danger of soft drinks is damage to the throat or respiratory tract. There are innumerable cilia in our nose , throat and early part of the respiratory system. These cilia prevent the dust , bacteria , and viruses that we constantly receive with our breath from entering the body. These cilia become inactive when playing soft drinks. Respiratory diseases such as tonsillitis , pharyngitis , laryngitis , bronchitis or pneumonia begin. Pesticides In 2004, farmers in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh began using Coca-Cola as a pesticide. In this context, Gatu Lakhmaiya, a farmer from Ramakrishnapuram in Andhra Pradesh, said , " I have sprayed soft drinks on a few hectares of my cotton land." Because I've seen insects die. Other farmers also say that soft drinks are cheaper than conventional pesticides and are safe for the user's skin. A four-year study of a group of 50-year-old Massachusetts men and women who drank 1 can or more of soft drinks a day found that their metabolic syndrome increased by 44%. Increased metabolic syndrome increases the risk of diabetes and heart disease , as well as premature aging of the body.
