I've always hated and feared violence and spent my life avoiding it. I had my first adult fight when I was 56 years old. On the occasion I politely (yes, really) asked a 30 year old man to please stop using filthy language in a restaurant crowded with women and young kids. His response was to sucker punch me. Happily I was able to beat him into submission and have him arrested. The thing that most surprised me was how much I really enjoyed hitting the guy. I clearly had a lot of pent up anger. It felt pretty good to let it all out on him and honestly I was sorry when the crowd pulled me off the guy.
