EDIT: if the reason they dont have faith in your idea is because “it just wont work” ignore it. if the reason they dont have faith in your idea is because “reason x and reason y” and you can give good rational responses to concerns x and y ignore it. if the reason they dont have faith in your idea is because “reason x and reason y” and you are having a hard time defending your idea against x and y, then you should probably listen because x and y could turn out to mess your entire idea/life up.
