Shortness of breath is a symptom of Asthma. Other symptoms of asthma include coughing, wheezing, and chest pain or pressure. However, it should be noted that not everybody has the same experience with these symptoms. Some people have these symptoms everyday, while other people don't have any symptoms except during an asthma attack. For other people, these symptoms are conditional, especially during exercise or when they catch a cold. Because of the variability of this problem, consulting a doctor is the best option if determining whether your shortness of breath is a symptom of asthma or something else.
