Leave white ceilings when painting with colorful colors?

I will paint each room a different color. But I wonder if I should leave the white ceilings or how it's done?

I have so painted. White ceiling and walls in the rooms in very light colors. I also have colored ceilings in the bathroom and toilet. It's up to you what you like. If you paint the ceiling white and the walls in color, it's a little harder.
