You could try this............bring it in wash it off real good..............let it get soft enough to cut it in half and scoop out the seeds & strings..........................put on a tray with a lip and roast it on low................use an ice cream scoop and scoop out the cooked pumpkin.........toss the skin.   you can measure it into vac pac & seal mark & date.  Good for pumpkin pie or pumpkin cake.
