Cameras. Nowadays a camera in each room and front door are cheap to get. Once on your own you realize , it's what you can prove that counts and a camera pointed at someone is about as good as a weapon being pointed at someone. Break INS, pipes bursting .....acts of god. Better have them on cmera , even your car a dashcam isn't too expensive
