I’ve been in therapy for 15 years (different therapists). Originally started going after a suicide attempt at 13 and my parents forced me to go. After that it just felt natural to see someone weekly. The longest I’ve gone without a therapist was 2 months. My current therapist is working really well for me but unfortunately she’s only an intern so she’ll be leaving me soon and I’ll have to start over. But I believe therapy does work if you and your therapist are a match and you put the work in
