Besides grinding, another method is recirculating ball nut and shaft assembly. This method rolled thread ball screws cost less than ground ball screws but deliver virtually the same accuracy and performance You used a threaded die to make and repair threads on screws. There are many types of threading though, you have to have a die with the correct width and pitch (the angle of the threading).
