No I don't think the world will soon end. Spanish flu in 1918-20 was far worse. It killed 50,000,000 and infected a third of the world's population but the world didn't end. Today medical science has come a lot further so even though this pandemic has infected and killed a lot of people, it is unlikely to end the world. One thing that should be noted is it came in waves and the second wave killed far more people than the first. If you research there have been many other pandemics too. They have been hitting the world from as early as the 1300s and occur because they are a strain of flu that has not circulated before and we have no immunity to it. From looking at previous pandemics they usually last around 18 months to 2 years.
