self-switching to sleep mode

Hello .... last ********* I got a Lenovo G50 laptop without a drive .... and lately, when I have it on my lap, desk, just wherever I type, it suddenly goes into sleep mode .. .I've tried different ways to turn it off but it still does ... at first I thought I was going to squeeze something somewhere and it would turn off but I tried everything ... now I'm afraid it's a mistake laptop .... what do you think? will you advise? thank you so much for the advice
