answer:The hardest choice I ever had to make was to give up legal custody with my daughter between the ages of 17–18. It was only for one year. She chose to live with her dad her senior year, several years after we divorced. I had no say in how he was parenting her and I could not risk him potentially allowing her to drive or drink and risk losing my financial holdings. It was a tough call, but one I felt was necessary to protect my assets in the event she got into trouble. Thank goodness those days are long gone and we all got through those rough post divorce days.
